About Fliptake

Fliptake answers one question: does this AI thing actually help with the ordinary week — dinner, trips, bills, homework, the house?

Last updated

Most writing about AI is aimed at people who build software. Fliptake is aimed at everyone else. The test for anything published here is simple: did it save a real person real time on something they were going to do anyway?

How things get tested

Apps are installed and used for a week of ordinary life, not poked at for ten minutes. Roundups compare tools on the same task — the same week of dinners, the same five-day trip, the same budget — so the comparison means something. Prompts are run and the real output is shown, including the times the output was wrong or useless.

Every roundup and comparison carries a visible last checked date. AI apps change their pricing and features constantly; a review without a date on it is a review you can't trust. If a page has gone stale, that date tells you before you act on it.

How this site makes money

Some links are affiliate links: if you subscribe or buy through one, Fliptake may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Later, there may be display ads. That's the whole model — there is nothing to subscribe to here, no course, no newsletter upsell, no community.

No company pays to appear, to rank higher, or to be removed. Nobody gets to review a draft before it goes up. When the free option is the right answer, the free option is the answer — see the affiliate disclosure and theeditorial policy for the specifics.

Free tools

The tools run entirely in your browser. Nothing you type is uploaded, stored, or sent anywhere — there is no server to send it to. No account, no email address, no cookie banner.

Corrections

Getting something wrong is inevitable; leaving it wrong is not. If a price, a feature, or a claim on this site is out of date or incorrect, use thecontact page. Reports are reviewed within 5 business days, and material corrections are noted on the page itself rather than quietly edited.

What this isn't

Nothing here is medical, legal, or financial advice. AI assistants are confidently wrong on a regular basis, and the guides on this site say where to double-check them. For decisions that matter — your health, your taxes, your contracts — talk to a qualified human. See the disclaimer.
